Profilmetall GmbH from Hirrlingen has a broad portfolio ranging from the development of innovative profiles to the worldwide logistics of ready-to-assemble profiles. After the KEFF check, the company implemented energy efficiency measures from several fields of action. The company optimised directly the process and the building. The compressed air compressor and the compressed air ring line were optimised and the system was equipped with an intelligent control system. The motor control on the production equipment was improved. The lighting has been completely replaced by LEDs, and an intelligent control system is used here as well. The company also relies on heat recovery, electric mobility – including forklifts – and involves the 64 employees in the search for and implementation of efficiency measures. The company saves about 300,000 kilowatt hours per year through the implemented measures.
